Wood furniture continues to thrive

WOOD IS LIKELY TO CONTINUE TO BE THE MAIN CONTRIBUTOR TO THE GLOBAL FURNITURE MARKET ALL THE WAY UP UNTIL 2023!

Wood is one of the most prominent materials that is used to create all kinds of stunning furniture and has seen massive popularity in recent years. Now, a new report has stated that wood will continue to dominate the global furniture market!

Whether it is going towards desks, chairs, dining room tables, wardrobes or any other interior product, high quality timber can be turned into excellently designed and visually appealing furniture.

And, in recent years, the popularity of wooden furniture has risen across the global market. This has, without doubt, been linked to the dramatic increase in online shopping, as people found more and more opportunity to order their furniture quickly and simply in a matter of minutes.

Now, a new report by Credence Research, which has looked at the global furniture market, has stated that wood is likely to continue to be the main contributor to the global furniture market all the way up until 2023!

Breaking down just how these materials are used, the report states: ‘Up until 2015, residential use took up over 50% of the furniture market, however with the growing number of offices worldwide, including office blocks built entirely of timber, the majority usage is set to go in favour of commercial use.’

These indicators in relation to the commercial furniture industry make for exciting reading for businesses, like Quercus, that pride themselves on supplying and sourcing the best timber products for commercial projects.
