Quercus is celebrating its 10-year anniversary in July but sales and marketing director Wayne Johnson isn’t resting on his laurels. Instead, he has been ensuring that the values Quercus has built its business on are still being delivered today. Over the past month he has travelled to visit several key suppliers in Italy to emphasise the quality and consistency our customers’ have come to expect.
The key driver behind our success over the past decade has been our values – honesty, helpfulness, integrity, and loyalty. They’re what let our customers rest assured that the timber we provide is everything we say it is: ethically sourced, consistently high quality, and in line with all the relevant regulations. With Forest Stewardship Council certification available in the vast majority of stock species, this underlines our passion for operating in an environmental, economical and socially responsible way.
Passion and certification only go so far, however. That’s why, for the past decade, we’ve been visiting suppliers ourselves to learn about their businesses, see their operations first-hand, and get to know them personally. We’ve often said that Quercus is a family – one that includes not only our staff, but also our customers and suppliers. Building these relationships has been a crucial part of delivering our promise for quality over the years.
Recently, Wayne visited one of our key suppliers in Italy. Our relationship with this supplier goes back many years, and we have come to expect nothing but the best from them. Seeing how they work, and the incredibly consistent quality they produce only reinforces how proud we are to work with them. And we hope to continue bringing you their high-quality products for another 10 years!
