Key to achieving this finish was the renovation of the barn’s existing stone construction with high-quality traditional materials, such as bespoke marble surfaces and timber. When it came to the timber, there was one type that was perfectly suited for this project: oak.
Conversion works were completed in September last year to an incredibly high standard. Quercus supplied oak for the lintels, an open tread staircase, as well as the doors and the beautiful structural Oak beams, which make a striking feature in the property.
In addition, we were able to provide solid oak flooring, and hardwood for the windows and frames.
The developer, who has an in house joinery manufacturing side, has produced the New Build from Start to Finish with exceptionally high quality standards. The Managing Director, Richard, was overjoyed with the outcome and has been a wonderful customer of Quercus’ for many years.
The end result is clear for everyone to see: a fantastic build that would be perfect for someone with a love of the countryside and traditional British craftsmanship, and beautiful materials put to good purpose. Quercus is proud to have been involved in this project and hopes to be involved in many more in the future.
